Vascular Radiology Testing
Whether we are confirming our diagnosis or preparing for a procedure, we use imaging tests to measure the diameter of blood vessels and the speed and direction of blood flow through your arteries and veins.
Imaging Tests include:
- Ultrasound
- CT (Computed Tomography)
- CTA (CT angiography)
- MRI (magnetic resonance imaging)
- MRA ( MR angiography)
- Angiography: a catheter is put into an artery in the groin and moved to the carotid arteries. Contrast fluid is injected through the catheter. X-ray images called angiograms are often taken.
